Fragrance Creators’
2019 Spring Dinner
On April 17, 2019, Fragrance Creators
gathered members and industry leaders for
its 2019 Spring Dinner at the Westmount
Country Club in Woodland Park, New
Jersey—its most popular event of the
year. Fragrance professionals connected
over cocktails and dinner, and heard from
leadership about how the association is
advancing fragrance and the fragrance
industry among key demographics, including
legislators, media, and consumers.
The event capped off with the presentation
of the 2019 Eric Bruell Distinguished
Service Award to the first-ever woman
recipient, Laure Moutet Manheimer, who
was introduced by her step daughter Karen
Manheimer, Vice President, Kerry and a
Member of the Fragrance Creators Board
of Directors. Over four decades, Moutet

Manheimer served as Owner and President of
JPM Imports, Inc., and Vice President of Sales
at J. Manheimer Inc., and Kerry Ingredients
& Flavors. In addition to numerous industry
leadership roles, she served as the first female
Board Member for Fragrance Creators (then
called the Fragrance Materials Association).
Moutet Manheimer addressed attendees,
sharing wisdom and lessons learned from her
illustrative career in fragrance. A native of
France, in closing, she honored “our lady,”
Notre-Dame de Paris, which had caught
fire and sustained significant damage just
days before, on April 15. “She is the image
of resilience,” said Moutet Manheimer.
“Through centuries of history, wars, and
revolutions, she has survived. And she will
rise up from the ashes again and be a beacon
for future generations.”
