As part of its Importance & Benefits of Fragrance program,
Fragrance Creators Association gathered fragrance leaders and
health and wellness experts from the Danbury, Connecticut,
area for a Fragrance Wellness Summit and site visit, hosted by
Takasago International Corporation USA in Rockleigh, New
Jersey. The Summit was aimed at educating health/wellness
leaders about fragrance creation, technology, and the industry and
further discussing how the fragrance industry can promote and
support wellness through strategic projects.
Representatives from Ability Beyond, Ann’s Place,
Bedoukian Research, The Lermond Company, Nuvance
(formerly Western Connecticut Health Network), Procter &
Gamble, Regional Hospice & Palliative Care, Takasago took part
in the meeting. Following a productive, engaging day immersed
in the world of fragrance, the group is now reviewing proposals
for initial data gathering projects surrounding the benefits of
fragrance. Since its first in-person gathering in November 2018,
the group has been discussing how the fragrance and health/
wellness groups can partner to serve patients along a few desired
benefit areas and—eventually—generate data on the benefits of
fragrance.
Steering this effort, Fragrance Creators’ Importance and
Benefits of Fragrance Committee is aimed at compiling
information—studies, stories, and examples—supporting the
importance and benefits of fragrance and potentially supporting
research. For more information or to join the committee
(members only), please contact Lia Dangelico, ldangelico@
